It is semi‑permeable, softens easily, and is highly durable. Its low cost and high resistance make it popular in industry. Polyethylene is classified by density and chemical properties. Mechanical properties depend on molecular weight, crystal structure, and branching type. Although properties vary by grade, it generally offers good resistance to outdoor conditions and moisture, flexibility, low mechanical strength, and excellent chemical resistance. Polyethylene is used for slides, stairs, railings, barriers, accessories, roofing, etc. To prevent color fading, masterbatch pigments used to color polyethylene must have a lightfastness rating of 6 or higher. The material thickness must be at least 6 mm (0.2 in) for parts exposed to pressure and friction, and at least 4 mm (0.2 in) for barrier or shade components not subjected to load. Thickness tolerance is ±5 %. CARRIER CONSTRUCTION The carrier structure consists of steel tubes with a minimum 114 mm (4.5 in) diameter and at least 2 mm (0.1 in) wall thickness, cold‑formed according to TS EN 10219‑2, TS‑6476, DIN 2394 standards, and welded by high‑frequency welding. Tubes are powder‑coated with a polyester‑based electrostatic powder paint. ELECTROSTATIC POWDER COATING All metal parts are cleaned by sandblasting to remove oil, dirt, and rust, creating a porous surface for better paint adhesion. Fine steel beads are sprayed with pressurized air to open micro‑pores and remove contaminants. After cleaning, parts are coated with polyester‑based electrostatic powder and baked at 200‑220 °C for 20 minutes. Metal components are then washed in a 70 °C, 5 % solvent bath for 10 minutes, followed by a 50 °C, 1 % iron bath for 15 minutes, rinsed, and dried. Finally, the entire assembly is painted in a single coat and baked at 180‑200 °C for 20‑30 minutes to ensure a durable finish.
