It is a semi‑permeable, softening, and highly durable polymer that is inexpensive and resistant, making it popular in industry. Polyethylene is classified by density and chemical properties. Its mechanical characteristics depend on molecular weight, crystal structure, and branching type. Although properties vary, it generally offers good resistance to outdoor conditions and moisture, flexibility, low mechanical strength, and excellent chemical resistance. Polyethylene components are used in slides, stairs, guardrails, barriers, accessories, roofs, etc. To prevent color fading, the masterbatch pigment used for coloring polyethylene must have a lightfastness rating of 6 or higher. The material thickness must be at least 6 mm (0.2 in) for parts subjected to pressure and friction, and at least 4 mm (0.2 in) for barrier and shading components that are not load‑bearing. Thickness tolerance is ±5 %. Carrier Construction The carrier structure consists of circular steel tubes with a minimum outer diameter of 114 mm (4.5 in) and a wall thickness of at least 2 mm (0.1 in), cold‑formed in accordance with TS EN 10219‑2, TS‑6476, DIN 2394 standards, and welded by high‑frequency welding. The tubes are sandblasted and then coated with polyester‑based electrostatic powder paint. Electrostatic Powder Paint All metal parts are sandblasted to remove oil, grime, and rust, creating a porous surface for better paint adhesion. Fine steel beads are sprayed under pressure to open microscopic pores and clean the metal surface. After fabrication, the components are coated with polyester‑based electrostatic paint and cured in a 200–220 °C oven for 20 minutes. Following coating, the parts undergo a 10‑minute, 70 °C, 5 % degreasing bath, then a 15‑minute, 50 °C, 1 % iron bath, followed by rinsing and drying. The final powder coating is applied in a 180–200 °C oven for 20–30 minutes. Weld seams are fully painted after welding to prevent corrosion.
