It is semi‑permeable, easily softened, and highly durable. Its low cost and high resistance make it popular in industry. Polyethylene density and chemical properties determine its classification. Mechanical properties depend on molecular weight, crystal structure, and branching type. While properties vary, it generally offers good resistance to outdoor conditions and moisture, flexibility, low mechanical strength, and excellent chemical resistance. Polyethylene products are used to manufacture slides, ladders, guards, barriers, accessories, roofs, etc. To prevent color fading, masterbatch paints used for coloring must have a lightfastness value of 6 or higher. The wall thickness must be at least 6 mm (0.2 in) for components exposed to pressure or friction, and at least 4 mm (0.2 in) for non‑load‑bearing guard or shading items. Thickness tolerance is ±5 %. Carrier Construction The carrier structure consists of round steel tubes with a minimum diameter of 114 mm (4.5 in) and a minimum 2 mm (0.1 in) wall thickness, cold‑formed and welded according to TS EN 10219‑2, TS‑6476, DIN 2394 standards. Tubes are sandblasted and coated with a polyester‑based electrostatic powder paint in a furnace. Electrostatic Powder Paint All metal parts are sandblasted to remove oil, grime, and rust, creating a profile for better paint adhesion. Fine steel beads are sprayed with compressed air to open pores and clean the surface. After coating with polyester‑based electrostatic paint, parts are cured in a 200–220 °C oven for 20 minutes. Following fabrication, metal components undergo a 10‑minute, 70 °C, 5 % oil‑removal bath, then a 15‑minute, 50 °C, 1 % iron bath, followed by rinsing and drying. Finally, the entire assembly is powder‑coated with durable polyester paint and baked at 180–200 °C for 20–30 minutes. Weld seams are painted in a single coat after welding to prevent corrosion.
