Seating Area: 300 x 300 cm (118 x 118 in) Height: 250 cm (98.4 in) Wood Specifications: The wood material used for manufacturing will be 1st‑grade Yellow Pine (Pinus sylvestris) lumber. Wood sections will be cut with a maximum tolerance of ±2 mm (0.1 in), and wood dimensions with a maximum tolerance of ±20 mm (0.8 in). Required wood characteristics include: - Knots – Each meter may contain up to four sound knots. Knot diameters will not exceed one‑quarter of the piece width. No rotten, split, partially fused, or fallen knots will be present. - Cracks – No ring cracks. Microscopic cracks (1–2 mm (0-0.1 in)) may occur. Cracks formed by pressure‑treated processes may be present within specification tolerances. - Resin pockets – Each meter may have at most one resin pocket not exceeding 10 cm (3.9 in) in length. No leaking or pulling resin, inner bark, rot cavities, or insect holes will be present. No manufacturing defects, only deviations within the stated tolerances. - Deflection – Will not exceed 1/50 of the member length. - Impact – Will not exceed 1/100 of the member width. - Twist – Will not exceed 2 mm (0.1 in) per meter length. - Bending of the grain – Tolerated between 1/50 and 1/100 of the member length. - Sanding – All visible surfaces will be sanded smooth to remove splinters. Primary Supports: Support legs will be fabricated from four pieces of pine lumber, each at least 90 × 90 mm (3.5 x 3.5 in), cut with diamond‑tip special knives that add a motif. The height of the support legs will be 240 cm (94.5 in). Roof: The pergola roof’s carrying slats will be made from 50 × 100 mm (2 x 3.9 in) wood. Two corners of each slat will be routed to shape. Additional slats, sized 50 × 100 mm (2 x 3.9 in), will be shaped with diamond‑tip knives that imprint a decorative motif. All fixed connections will use special galvanized wood screws. Anchoring: A flange measuring 150 × 150 × 5 mm (5.9 x 5.9 x 0.2 in) will be welded onto the bottom of each support leg, with a 90 × 70 × 5 mm (3.5 x 2.8 x 0.2 in) plate riveted on top, and a 12 mm (0.5 in) diameter hole drilled. Anchors will be bolted to the legs and secured to the ground with steel dowels, preventing water contact with the wood and providing a stable base. Picnic gazebo anchors will be welded to at least two sides of the minimum‑3 mm (0.1 in) thick flanged plates. Six special screws will be installed per leg for the anchor‑to‑leg connection, and two dowel screws per leg for the ground connection. All metal parts will be powder‑coated with a polyester‑based paint and baked in a furnace.
