Wood specifications: The timber used for production will be first‑grade Yellow Pine (Pinus sylvestris) lumber. Wood sections will be cut with a maximum tolerance of ±2 mm (0.1 in), and dimensions with a maximum tolerance of ±20 mm (0.8 in). Acceptable wood characteristics include: - Knots: Up to four solid knots per meter, with total knot diameter not exceeding one‑quarter of the piece width. No rotten, split, or fallen knots. No ring cracks. Fine grain cracks (1–2 mm (0-0.1 in)) are permissible. Pressure‑treated timber may exhibit head and side cracks within tolerance limits. - Resin pockets: No more than one resin pocket per meter, not exceeding 10 cm (3.9 in) in length. No dripping or pulling resin. No inner bark, rot cavities, or insect holes. No manufacturing defects, only the specified tolerances. - Bending: Deflection will not exceed 1/50 of the member length. - Impact: Impact marks will not exceed 1/100 of the member width. - Twisting: Twist will not exceed 2 mm (0.1 in) per meter. - Flexural tolerance: Between 1/50 and 1/100 of the member length. - Sanding: All visible surfaces will be sanded smooth. Primary carriers: Support legs will be made from two pieces of pine lumber, each at least 90 × 90 mm (3.5 x 3.5 in), cut with diamond‑tipped knives to create a motif. The height of the support legs will be 240 cm (94.5 in). Roof: The pergola roof’s supporting slats will be fabricated from 50 × 150 mm (2 x 5.9 in) wood. Two corners of each slat will be shaped on a router. Additional decorative slats (50 × 100 mm (2 x 3.9 in)) with diamond‑tipped, motif‑giving knives will be installed on the supporting slats. All fixed connections will use special galvanized wood screws. Seating unit: The seating unit will be mounted with two L‑shaped wooden legs (minimum 40 × 90 mm (1.6 x 3.5 in)). One end of each leg attaches to the main support, the other end to the seating slat using galvanized screws. On the L‑legs, four decorative slats (minimum 40 × 90 mm (1.6 x 3.5 in), diamond‑tipped) will be installed, and two vertical back slats (minimum 40 × 90 mm (1.6 x 3.5 in)) will be attached with galvanized screws. Anchoring: A 150 × 150 × 5 mm (5.9 x 5.9 x 0.2 in) flange will be welded to a 90 × 70 × 5 mm (3.5 x 2.8 x 0.2 in) plate at the base of each support leg, with a 12 mm (0.5 in) hole drilled. Anchors will be bolted to the underside of the supports and secured to the ground with steel dowels, preventing water contact with the wood and ensuring stable mounting. Pergola anchors will be welded to the flange on at least two sides, using a minimum 3 mm (0.1 in) weld. Six special screws will be placed on each leg for the anchor, and two dowel screws per leg for ground attachment. All metal components will be powder‑coated with a polyester‑based finish and baked.
