Wood sections will be cut with a maximum tolerance of ±2 mm (0.1 in), and dimensions with a maximum tolerance of ±20 mm (0.8 in). Required wood qualities include: Knots: Up to four sound knots per meter, with total knot diameter not exceeding one‑quarter of the piece width. No rot, defect, partially fused or fallen knots. Cracks: No ring cracks. Microscopic cracks (1–2 mm (0-0.1 in)) may be present. Pressure‑treated cracks may appear within tolerance limits. Resin pockets: No more than one per meter, not exceeding 10 cm (3.9 in) in length. No dripping or pulling resin, no inner shell, no rot cavities, no insect holes. No manufacturing defects beyond specified tolerances. Bending: Deflection not to exceed 1/50 of the piece length. Impact: Impact not to exceed 1/100 of the piece width. Twist: No more than 2 mm (0.1 in) per meter. Edge bending: Tolerated between 1/50 and 1/100 of the piece length. Sanding: All visible surfaces will be sanded smooth. Anchoring: To the underside of the support legs, a 18×13×3 mm (0.7 x 0.5 x 0.1 in) flange will be welded with a 15×8×2 mm (0.6 x 0.3 x 0.1 in) plate; two anchor holes will be drilled in a 13×8×3 mm (0.5 x 0.3 x 0.1 in) plate, and three 6 mm (0.2 in) screw holes will be drilled in each 15×8×2 mm (0.6 x 0.3 x 0.1 in) plate. Anchors will be mounted under the supports with screws and attached to the floor using steel dowels. This prevents wood contact with water and secures the support legs. Gazebo anchors will be fabricated by welding flanges with a minimum 2.5 mm (0.1 in) fillet on at least two sides. Six special screws will be installed on each leg for anchor connection, and two dowel screws per leg for floor attachment. All metal parts will be powder‑coated with a polyester‑based paint and baked.
