Required wood characteristics include: Knots – each meter may contain up to four solid knots. The total knot diameter will not exceed one‑quarter of the piece width. No rotten, defective, partially fused, or fallen knots will be present. Cracks – No ring cracks. Microscopic cracks (1‑2 mm (0.1 in)) may be present. Pressure‑treated material may have permissible axial and radial cracks within tolerance limits. Resin pockets – Each meter may contain at most one resin pocket not exceeding 10 cm (3.9 in) in length. No leaking or pulling resin, inner shell, rot cavities, insect holes, or manufacturing defects will be present; only allowed deviations within specified tolerances. Anchors will be bolted to the carriers and also attached to the floor via steel dowels, preventing wood contact with water and securing the carrier legs. Gazebo anchors will be fabricated by welding flanges at least 2.5 mm (0.1 in) thick around a minimum of two sides. Six special screws will be installed on each leg for the vertical connection, and two doweled screws per leg for floor attachment. All metal components will be powder‑coated with polyester‑based paint in a furnace.
